I love my God! I have never been closer to God than I am now. I have to lean on him every day for strength and guidance. The verse on the front page is my life verse. I have to remind myself all of the time to "Be still" and remember that God is taking care of me!
Let's travel! My favorite two places are New York City and Disney World. I was trying to go to NYC every three or four months for a while, but now that COVID has decided to come upon us I have not been able to visit the city that I love. My daughter and I have annual passes to Disney, so we are there when we can. She lives in Tampa which makes Disney World a great place for she and I to meet for the day to see each other. We have been on cruises and traveled up and down the US eastern coast. Now my daughter and I are starting to head west. We recently went to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore. We flew into Denver and drove the rest of the way. That was amazing! We were able to drive through Nebraska into South Dakota. Once we were done seeing all of the sites that we could fit in (we will have to go back), we drove back to Denver through Wyoming. It was so nice to see so much of the US that we have not visited before.
I cannot get enough of history. It doesn't matter what I am doing, whether it is watching a movie, reading a book or deciding on a new Netflix series to watch. I am always drawn to something that is based on a historical setting. I tell myself that I would have loved to live in the Regency Era, but then I remember that I rather enjoy indoor plumbing and air conditioning.
Family/friend time and card games, please! I love my family and friends!! I love to spend time with them. I think that the best time spent is with friends and family sitting around and playing cards or talking. I think that the past year and a half has been the hardest of my life, but I also believe that it has been the time of my life where I have been supported the most.
I love Notre Dame Football! There is nothing like being in the stands at a home game at the University of Notre Dame. Go Irish!
